Jovan Intense Oud Perfume by Jovan, Jovan Intense Oud hints at the excitement of foreign travel. Even the bottle’s red and gold, Eastern-inspired design contributes to this sensation. The top notes are saffron, native to Southwest Asia and lemongrass. The heart notes include labdanum, a resin from a Mediterranean flower, and Turkish rose. Continue the journey to Southeast Asia, with base notes of spicy patchouli, earthy sandalwood and the eponymous oud. Oud is the Arabic name for this highly valued resin. This woody fragrance, released in 2012, is luxurious and long lasting.
Jovan has been launching perfumes since 1968, but the company really became a leader in its field in 1972, with the release of Musk. In 1981, the house became the first fragrance brand associated with a rock band, The Rolling Stones. It sponsored their Tattoo You Tour.
